The Hard Part of Being a Writer

For some writers, the hard part is the actual writing. I agree that it's difficult (especially if you have major writer's block), but since becoming published I've discovered a new challenge: Marketing. While most publishing companies do some of the marketing, the author is expected to do some as well, epecially if the author is unknown. Most writers are introverts, including me, and it isn't so easy asking people to buy my book. Heck, most the time when I meet new people and they ask what I do I forget to say that I'm a published author. Why? Because I feel like I'm tooting my own horn.
